Rich Klein, President of Rich Klein Crisis Management (formerly LawFirmsPR), is a media relations/social media/crisis communications consultant with more than 30 years of experience in public relations and journalism. He has advised law firms of all sizes and their clients since the early 1990’s on media relations, crisis/litigation communications, reputation management and social media strategies.
In early 2014, Klein became the first person in the world approved by Google to deliver crisis management advice via Google Helpouts as The Crisis Management Advisor.
In June 2012, Klein founded The Crisis Show on YouTube/Google Hangouts which focuses on all aspects of crisis management. As of January 2014, the show has been viewed at least once in in 113 countries.
Klein’s blog deals with marketing /public relations issues, crisis/litigation communications, social media, and online/offline reputation management.
He has spoken before local and state bar associations and has written articles for the National Law Journal, PRWeek, The Mann Report, the New Jersey Law Journal, Law.com, The Crisis Management Guidebook (PRNews) and Strategies, the magazine of the Legal Marketing Association. In addition, Klein has participated in a global podcast regarding online reputation and was the guest speaker for a Legal Marketing Association webinar on crisis communications and Web 2.0. In 2009, he launched the LawFirmsPR podcast on Blog Talk Radio. He is also an active participant in all aspects of social media including a significant following on Twitter @RichKleinCrisis.
