I Have A Dream

I have a dream that on August 28, 2010, Honest Abe gets out of his chair in Washington, walks down the steps towards the reflecting pool and tells the crowd: “A house divided against itself cannot stand. And Mr. Beck is dividing this house we call America. He doesn’t want to restore honor. He wants to restore hate. Mr. Beck: It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to open one’s mouth and remove all doubt. Look it up..I said it.
And Ms. Palin..yeah you…I can see you from my backyard. You and Newt, among others, have twisted what it means to be Republican. Don’t ever invoke my name in your speeches. I saved this country once from splitting apart over racism and slavery. But now it’s up to all of you to learn from that tragic history and stop hurting each other. My dream is of a place and a time where America will once again be seen as the last best hope of Earth. I said that, too, and it bears repeating. Oh…and by the way..the speech that Martin Luther King gave on this spot on this day in 1963 was beautiful. You should all go home and read it or watch it on video.
